Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This policy applies to the website diamond.plumbing, operated by Diamond Plumbing (legal name: [legal entity name — add before launch]) ("Diamond Plumbing", "we", "us").

Our Canadian company, Blue Diamond Plumbing Inc., runs a separate website, diamondplumbing.ca, which has its own privacy practices. This policy covers diamond.plumbing only.

2. Information we collect

Information you send us

When you use the contact form we receive:

• your name;
• your email address and/or phone number (you choose which; at least one is needed so we can reply);
• the type of project you select and the message you write;
• a record that you ticked the consent box, and the date and time of your request.

If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. Please don't send payment card numbers, Social Security numbers or other sensitive information through the form or by email.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs. Like every website, our web server records each request it receives: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page, your browser and device type (user agent) and the response status. Our hosting provider keeps these logs for security and troubleshooting; we don't use them to identify or profile visitors.
• Spam protection. When you send the form, we keep a one-way, salted hash of your IP address (not the address itself) for up to one hour so the same connection can't send many requests in a row. It is then deleted automatically.

Information we don't collect

We don't use cookies, analytics, advertising or social-media pixels, session recording, chat widgets, embedded maps or videos, or location tracking, and the website doesn't take payments. See our Cookie Policy for details.

3. How we use it

• to reply to your request and discuss your project;
• to prepare a quote and, if you hire us, to enter into and carry out a contract with you;
• to keep our website secure and working, and to prevent spam and abuse;
• to comply with the law and to establish or defend legal claims.

We don't use your information for marketing and we don't send newsletters. If we ever want to, we will ask for your separate permission first.

4. Who receives it

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose it only to the following, and only so they can provide their service to us:

• Our web hosting provider (Web Hosting Canada, WHC.ca), which runs the website and the form, and stores the server logs.
• Our email provider, which delivers and stores the email copy of your request in our inbox at info@diamond.plumbing.
• Telegram (Telegram Messenger Inc.). A copy of each form request is also posted, through Telegram's Bot API, to a private Telegram group our team uses to respond quickly. That group is shared with Emerald Plumbing Inc., a separate plumbing company under common ownership with Diamond Plumbing, so members of that group can see your request. Telegram handles messages under its own privacy policy.
• Font and code delivery networks that your browser contacts directly when it loads our pages: Google Fonts (Google LLC) for the fonts, and cdnjs (Cloudflare, Inc.) for an animation library. They receive your IP address, browser details and the address of our website (not the full page address), as with any web request. They set no cookies on our site. Their practices are described in Google Fonts' privacy FAQ and Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it (for example, a valid court order), to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to it.

5. Where it is stored

Our service providers may store and process information outside California and outside the United States, including in Canada. By using the website you understand that your information may be handled in those places.

6. How long we keep it

• Requests that don't lead to a project: deleted from our email and our Telegram group within [retention period — confirm before launch] of our last contact with you.
• If you become a customer: kept for as long as we need it for the project and for our legal, tax, licensing and warranty obligations.
• Spam-protection hash: one hour at most (deleted automatically).
• Server logs: kept by our hosting provider under its standard log rotation.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email info@diamond.plumbing with the subject "Privacy request". We may need to confirm it's you, for example by replying from the email address or phone number you used. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of their authority. We won't treat you differently for making a request.

California residents

California law gives residents rights over their personal information, including, where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to a business, the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We don't sell or share personal information, and we will respond to the requests above whether or not that law applies to us.

Under California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code § 1798.83), you may ask whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not.

Visitors from Canada

If you are in Canada, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. For projects in Canada, please use diamondplumbing.ca.

8. "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control

We don't track visitors over time or across other websites, and we don't sell or share personal information, so there is nothing for a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. Our website works the same way whether or not your browser sends one.

9. Children

This website is meant for adults arranging plumbing work. It is not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, the form is checked on our server, and only the people who handle requests can read them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

11. Links to other websites

Our pages link to other sites, including diamondplumbing.ca. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
